Turning landscapes into sound.
Kia Soundscapes was created to give blind and visually impaired people a way to experience their surroundings through sound. The idea was to turn data from the environment into audio cues that feel natural and let people sense landscapes in a new way.
I joined during the visual exploration stage, working on type and motion experiments to shape a visual language that matched the idea. Later I supported the technical side, advising on lidar tracking and making sure the motion held up when the concept moved into production.
The project showed how design and motion can open new doors for accessibility. It even received a Bronze Lion in Cannes, but what mattered most was creating something that could truly make a difference.
